Kevin has held executive positions with Apple and Dell and has also worked for multiple early stage software start up companies.
PowerSchool (acquired by Apple) with now over 40% SIS market share in K12 schools in North America. TH(i)NQ Ed (acquired by Blackboard) with now over 20% in CMS market share in K12 schools and SchoolWires (acquired by a private equity group) with now over 20% CMS market share in in K12 schools.
He also worked in the the early stages with Edusoft (acquired by Houghton Mifflin)
Kevin also serves on the advisory board on one of the fastest growing K12 blended learning Christian providers with accounts internationally.
He has also been a visiting professor in the MBA program at Devry University with a focus on Entrepreneurship and teaches a “MBPA “master’s in business and personal administration bootcamp” in a barn that has smoking Wifi behind his house for educators and business people. He has provided consulting services for such brands as Tim Hortons Cafe and Bake Shops, Harley Davidson and multiple companies on how to ARC “attract, retain and grow” business with new media. He helped found New Media Dayton where up to 100 business owners and tribe leaders come together once a month to share in best practices.
Kevin holds a Master’s of Arts Degree in Education from California State University and a Master’s Degree in Administration from St. Francis Xavier University and has completed candidate coursework in the doctoral progam at Virginia Tech.
He hails from Canada, likes to watch tennis, bike slowly in a recumbent, go golfing in fast carts but still saves up all his energy to score goals in his local “Huff and Puff” hockey league. He has also officiated professional hockey in the ECHL where he earned an honorary doctorate in conflict resolution from the school of hard knocks.
However, above all else he enjoys spending time with his family in Ohio.
